The moniker of Andrew Shockley, and named after a street where he made lots of childhood memories, Delafaye is an exceptionally gifted singer-songwriter and guitarist who delivers music laced in romance and ethereal melancholy, creating a deeply authentic expression of a decorated past spent in and around his native Louisville, Kentucky.
Brooks Ritter debuted his newest album, Stereo of Steel, on August 26, 2016. Ritter is a Louisville, Kentucky native musician, and his music ranges from “soul to roots music, with a little indie-rock.” Stereo of Steel follows the same pattern with 10 original songs. Ritter has toured with various bands during his music career, including Sara Watkins from Nickel Creek, Greg Laswell, Anderson East, Zella Day, Ben Sollee, and others.
“With a voice that rises up and sits somewhere between Adele and John Legend, Ritter exposes his listeners to a harmonious concoction of acoustic tenderness, gospel soul, Kentucky country, and expressive rock,” Caleb Murphy said, describing the soul of Ritter’s music. Murphy is the founder of Musicateur Magazine — an independent, local music magazine in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and is a fellow musician based in western Pennsylvania.
Ritter’s new album, Stereo of Steel, is available both on iTunes and on Ritter’s website. Vinyl is also available on the website. He began writing songs in 2004, and released his first album, The Horse Fell Lame in 2009; and Gather Round also in 2011.
