Please join us on Friday, July 13, for the opening reception of a solo exhibition by Chloe Lee, whom I met and began to publish in Hopkinsville Community College’s literary magazine when the California native was attending high school in Christian County. I have remained a fan of her work ever since, and am stoked to host her at Surface Noise. In addition to the 30-plus paintings in her show, Chloe will be selling prints of her work as well as limited edition stickers and mugs emblazoned with original illustrations available at the opening only. Her full bio appears below:
Chloe Lee is a female illustrator currently hanging in the Western Kentucky area, creating psychedelic art work while hanging on the farm. Her work reflects strong female characters and colorful beasts through vibrant palettes and patterns. She is heavily influenced by the natural world, and includes an array of plants, fungi, and creepy crawlies within her paintings.
